Jennifer Thommeny JP, BA NSW University Grad. Cert. Applied Management (Charles Sturt University) Jennifer is an Independent Consultant for Blur Projects on projects including ‘One Life’ and ‘Silent Tears.’

Jennifer is an accomplished senior NSW Police Officer (former) with specialist training in criminal intelligence, investigations, counter-terrorism intelligence, anti-money laundering and integrity investigations. In addition, Jennifer co-authored major research projects in areas of alcohol & crime and has undertaken major research associated with domestic violence and public safety; successfully securing funds to create 120 positions for ‘Domestic Violence Liaison Officers’ (DVLO’s) throughout NSW.

More recently, to assist with the development of the Third National Action Plan; the National Plan to reduce violence against women and their children, Jennifer co-facilitated workshops focusing on Aboriginal & Torres Strait Island families to ensure the Action Plan response is focused and culturally-informed.

Jennifer also worked closely with Gail MABO to coordinate the MABO day festival in Townsville which celebrates 25 years since the High Court handed down its decision on the landmark case known as ‘Mabo’, which paved the way for recognition of native title in Australia.

Jennifer is a current member of the NSW Family Planning Ethics Committee, a former member of Zonta International, a leading global organisation of professionals empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy, the NSW Parole Authority (Board), Guthrie House (half-way house for women leaving prison and the Management Committee, Delores Refuge, Bondi Junction.
